Community Kitchen Project

Community Kitchen Project

Welcome to the Community Kitchen at Helping Hand.

This homelike space will provide fresh, nutritious meals to food-insecure families, veterans, senior citizens, the homeless, and many more!

We are 95% of the way to completion with our community kitchen project! The lights are on, and we are awaiting final installations for appliances and fixtures and inspection from a few key parties before we are able to establish an official opening date. We couldn't be more excited.

This brand new building is equipped with 2 brand new, beautiful dining rooms, a commercial kitchen, and A/V infrastructure that will allow it to double as an educational space for community programs. It will feature beautiful home-like dining room tables and chairs.

Donate to the Community Kitchen I'm interested in volunteering when the kitchen opens. Add me to the list.

Thank You to Long Island Home Builders Care for the $17,000+ donation for beautiful furniture and necessary appliances for our Community Kitchen. Having beautiful, homelike furniture helps visitors at our community kitchen to feel at ease, and restores a feeling of dignity and value to individuals and families coming for a meal. This furniture helps to make a statement that the kitchen doesn't just provide meals - it's a place of connection, compassion, and dignity.

Thank you National Grid for their generous grant of $50,000 through their "project c" program. Their commitment to community development and giving back has made such a difference in the completion of this project. National Grid's partnership provides community connection, mobilizing the resources of their well-established business for massive generosity on a local level.
