Helping Hand Rescue Mission
Loving, Serving, and Giving in our beautiful Huntington Station community (and beyond) since 1965.
This beloved annual gathering is a special time to celebrate friendship, community and the legacy of those who have faithfully supported Helping Hand Rescue Mission throughout the past 61 years. It is also an opportunity to share how we continue adapting to meet the ever-changing needs of our beautiful community.
Guests will enjoy delicious tea, a bountiful luncheon, delightful fall desserts, special music by saxophonist Andrew Gambino and friends, raffles, warm fellowship and meaningful moments of inspiration. We will share stories of lives touched through the Mission and recognize special honorees who truly embody the heart of our work. We will be presented a special "60 Years" video that is being prepared for this occasion.
Sponsorships are available at many different levels...from centerpiece sponsors to our Gold Sponsorship with opportunities for engagement and community visibility.
We are also accepting raffle basket donations. Please email wendy@hhrm.org for information or to offer a basket donation.
All proceeds from the tea will support the growing programs of Helping Hand Rescue Mission as we provide food, essential supplies, referral services, internships, family events, holiday celebrations, Growth Groups, children’s activities and opportunities for volunteers from all walks of life to love, serve and give throughout our beautiful Huntington Station community and beyond.
🍁 Tickets are $50 per person. Tables of eight are $350.
Seating is limited, so we encourage you to reserve your place early.
Come be part of this meaningful tradition as we honor our founders, celebrate those who continue their vision, thank the wonderful people who support our Mission and look toward the future with gratitude, faith and hope.
We are so excited to share this special afternoon with you and look forward to seeing you there. Bring a friend!

Sharing The Love & Hope
In Every Season
We believe that God's love changes lives. Through compassion, service, and faith in action, we share hope with individuals and families—reminding them they are seen, valued, and never alone.
Volunteers-Thank You!
As we welcome the beauty and coming changes of fall, we are especially grateful for our volunteers who continue to serve with open hearts and willing hands. Through busy days and every new challenge, you sort, stock, pack, carry, listen, encourage, and love, making a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors.
Fall is a season filled with activity at Helping Hand Rescue Mission. As children return to school and families prepare for colder weather and the approaching holidays, the need for food, clothing, household essentials, and compassionate support continues to grow. Your faithful service helps ensure that no family has to face a difficult season alone.
In the months ahead, we look forward to our fall programs, Thanksgiving outreach, Christmas events, Baby Blessings, food distributions, and many other opportunities to serve our community. We enter this busy season with grateful hearts, knowing that you are part of every meal shared, every coat given, every child blessed, and every family encouraged.
Thank you for giving your time, kindness, and heart to Helping Hand Rescue Mission. Your faithful service reflects God’s love in action, and together we are bringing practical help, dignity, encouragement, and hope to our community. We truly could not do this without you.

About Us
The Mission was founded in 1965 by Reverend J.A. Gaines, his wife, Reverend Rose Marie Gaines, and her mother, Florence E. Meringola. After witnessing local poverty and food insecurity first hand, they invested everything that they had into building Helping Hand Rescue Mission with the view that if they could help even one person it was worth it. They sacrificed much to build a strong community center and leave a legacy of Loving, Serving, and Giving as witness to the love of God to be carried on. Their prayer was for the HHRM to remain a "lighthouse" in our community.
